The initiative for the development of young people outside of school (IDEJEN) is a project for young people outside the school and difficult situations in Haiti. Executed by the international organization Education Development Center (EDC) in collaboration with community organizations and youth funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), IDEJEN intends to improve the situation of young people aged 15 to 24 years through a program combining basic education non-formal life education, technical training in a trade justified by the economic opportunities of the community and an accompanying young people for their socio-economic integration.
